Four Perfect Pebbles

Avery found a great trailer for the novel Four Perfect Pebbles.

I enjoy reading books about the Holocaust.  They remind me of what can happen because of hatred.  If you get the chance, visit the Holocaust Memorial Center in Bloomfield Hills.

If I Stay

Ender's Game

The Invention of Hugo Cabret

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

The Giver

I can't believe so many of you have never read this novel!
I have read it 12 times, and Hillary is on her 9th reading.
I hope you embrace the opportunity to read it this year!

Monument 14

I found this series when I was at http://www.mcleanandeakin.com/ in Petoskey on vacation this summer.  I had to keep going back to the store to buy the next book in the series.  I finished the entire series in a few days!  The author, http://emmylaybourne.com/ was at the bookstore earlier in the summer.  The workers at McLean and Eakin stated that it was the most attended book signing all summer!

Stacy's Sparkles

One of my former students Stacy Wain passed away this summer.  Stacy's Sparkles was created to benefit any individual who has lost a loved one and provide a comfort bag during their time of grief through Gabby's Ladder
Description
Stacy Wain was assisted and supported by her town so her family wants to give back to the community. Stacy was a sparkles and dazzle young lady. She loved zebra and leopard so in her honor each bag will have a zebra or leopard ribbon. The bags will be purple representing her disease of MPS which has a purple theme. Our goal is to provide a moment of happiness even if it's just a brief time. By helping others Stacy Wain's spirit will continue to live on making people happy.

Any cash donations need to be payable to Gabby's Ladder with Stacy's Sparkles in the memo. Items can be dropped off to my building 20 N. Roessler Monroe, 48162 Main office M-Fri 8:30-12 1-4:30 Fridays open until noon. Items can be dropped off to the Monroe Housing Commision High Rise building. Located at 20 N.
