Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children - Very unique book. Loved the historical connection to the Holocaust! I also think it is totally cool how Ransom Riggs came up with the idea for this novel.

After we are done reading the novel A Monster Calls, we will be reading Nightjohn. In the novel Nightjohn, we will look at slavery in the past and then reflect on slavery in our world today. While I was shopping at Barnes and Noble with my daughter today, I came across the novel Sold by Patricia McCormick. This novel shows one of the biggest problems we face in our world today: human trafficking.
I purchased the novel and am currently reading it. Then I want to see the movie.
